NDA Charter Holder Qualifications

Membership in the AMOA National Dart Association will entitle you to all materials, benefits, and privileges available to qualified members. The NDA offers various tools to assist your leagues, but you are under no obligation to incorporate league rules, handicapping, or scoring into your business if it is not in the best interest of your local league development.

All Charter Holder members of the NDA must meet the following requirements for membership.

All amusement machine operators wishing to apply for membership must complete an application on forms provided by the Association.

To be eligible for membership, a coin amusement operator must meet each of the following qualifications:

1. The operator and his coin amusement business must have been in active operation for not less than two years in the state or province from which the application is made.
2. The operator must be a member of the Amusement & Music Operators Association (AMOA).
3. The operator must own and operate not less than four electronic dart machines in not less than four locations other than his principle place of business and not less than 20 other coin amusement, music, or vending machines in not less than four locations other than his principle place of business.
4. As an alternative to 3. above, the Operator must own and operate not less than twelve electronic dart machines in not less than four locations other than his principle place of business. In addition, at each location, there shall be not less than two other coin-amusement, music, or vending machines in operation and accessible to Association sanctioned league players during competition.
5. The Operator must demonstrate that he is capable of operating, promoting and coordinating electronic dart leagues and that he enjoys a good business reputation for honesty and fairness in the coin amusement business. Demonstration of such qualifications at minimum shall require favorable references from three members in good standing of the AMOA, of which at least one must be currently conducting business within that state or province.

Membership applications for those operators in the United States and Canada wishing to be approved and participate in Team Dart must be approved for membership prior to December 1. To be approved for membership by December 1, an NDA membership application must be submitted to the NDA no later than November 1.

Membership applications for those operators outside the United States and Canada wishing to be approved and participate in Team Dart must complete and submit all required information for membership a minimum of one year prior to the start of Team Dart and be approved for membership prior to September 1. To ensure that your application will be forwarded to the NDA Board of Directors for review at their summer meeting, an NDA membership application must be submitted no later than April 1 to allow time for processing.
